The 1st Training Wing is a friendly place to learn to fight in DCS. Start on ranges where nothing shoots back, earn your qualifications, work through your goals and climb the ranks. Bring an A-10C, or fly the free Su-25T and TF-51D.

The ranges

GREEN

Practice ranges

Trucks, tanks and an unarmed drone. Nothing shoots back. Learn your weapons here.

AMBER

Defended ranges

Anti-aircraft guns and shoulder-fired missiles. Stay high, stay fast, and bring the jet home.

RED

Combat zone

Radar-guided surface-to-air missiles and MiG patrols north of the mountains. Fly with a wingman.

How to join

    Join the Wing

    Pick a username and password here. It takes a minute, and your first goals are waiting.

    Join the server

    In DCS, open Multiplayer and join 1st Training Wing.

  3. 3

    Link your account

    Get a code from the Me page. In DCS, press Ctrl and Tab together to open the chat box, type -link 123456 and press Enter.

    Fly Quick practice

    Pick it on the Missions page: a few minutes from the airfield, and nothing shoots back. Route and weapons are already loaded.

  5. 5

    Land and level up

    Hit a target, bring the jet home, and the Commander tells you what to try next. Voice radio (SimpleRadio Standalone) is optional but recommended.
